The parent company of Hainan Airlines is bidding to buy
GE SeaCo container leasing company. They're vying against Kelso & Co. Ge SeaCo has 900K TEU. Rumor was that Textainer put in an offer. When looking at companies, I'm generally looking at long term things and not rumors of takeovers/acquisitions.
China shipping volume is up 13% Jan-May. China is also dredging the Yangtze at 12.5m all the way to Nanjing (name means south capital).
